GAMES ROOM - Carnival of Terror... a great game for clown haters or people who just want to get back at Dr. Sloth for all that mayhem he caused. So... what came first? The pie or the clown? I'm pretty sure that in this game, it was the clown. I mean, the clowns are throwing the pies at you. Of course, Sloth's minions had to bake the pies and put those little cherries on top, not to mention add that little "secret ingredient" that makes those scrumptious looking pies harmful to your health bar. Whatever.
I'm here to give you, the reader, three important tips about Carnival of Terror. Now, pay attention.
All right... the game starts out with "creepy" music. Yah... creepy... right. You could click the help button, but I know you want to cut straight to the chase. You know, the part where you get to blow up the clowns! So here's a basic overview of the game.
Dr. Sloth has just opened the Carnival of Terror and stocked it full of robot Chia clowns just so you can blow them up! OK... not really. Probably another one of his plots to take over the world. Anyway, you have to shoot the clowns while simultaneously blocking their shots, blowing them up, and keeping your ammo supply up, your health bar full, and time on the clock via the extras falling from the sky with parachutes. HOLY KAU! How can you manage all that? Anyway, if you run out of ammo, time, or health, the game is over.
First of all, you can actually try aiming, and not just at the clowns. Shooting like crazy is, overall, a waste of ammo. If you aim, you save ammo. You also get what you want when you want it. You can also block pies easier this way. However, there are some circumstances that make it OK to fire like mad. They are as follows:
• You have very little time on the clock and you seriously doubt you'll get another one. Of course, there's always a chance. In this case, it is smart to shoot like crazy and use aim at the same time, especially if you have very little ammo left.
• You have very little health in your health bar (2 or lower), and there's a clown in the back. With this particular clown, you've managed to blow off it's legs and one of it's arms. If it explodes, you'll be down to one health point or the game will end. Therefore, fire away!
• There is an extra falling WAY in the back that you direly need.
There you have it. An obvious way to prevent a short game is to block the pies. Strangely enough, after you get hit with a pie or a clown explodes, that's it! You never have a perfect health bar again. By blocking the pies, you can keep a full health bar for a long time, and everyone knows a full health bar is a happy health bar! All right... the health bar can't be happy, but it can make you happy when you collect your points for playing the game.
Another important thing to remember is to NEVER MISS EXTRA TIME! I can't stress this enough because you never know when or if you'll be getting another one. Therefore, even if there is plenty of time on the clock, you can always use more. Remember, time is not very in this game, but it is of the essence. If you run out of time, the game is over. The longer you play the game, the more Neopoints you get when it's all over.
Last and most importantly: If your eyes start to hurt, take a break. Don't overdo it! I mean, I know you all despise Sloth and blowing up his pudgy little robot clowns is very entertaining! If your eyes hurt (or your wrist, you have to click that dang mouse a lot), relax. Shake the cramp out of your fingers, close your eyes for a moment, if only for a moment, and try not to in vision chunky little robot Chia clowns and pies flying at you left and right.
There you have it! Three important things to remember when playing Carnival of Terror. So what did come first: The pie or the clown? It was definitely the clown... or was it the pie? Two possibilities, one choice. What do you think? I think I'm going to get me some pie. All this talk about pies is making me hungry. See you at the Carnival!
